Hyrax



Hyraxes, also known as dassies or conies, are animals with short tails and a peculiar eature, 3-toed hind feet 5-toed forefeet.

They are grouped with elephants and they have a common ancestor.

Popularly hyraxes are categorised as rock hyraxes (Procavia capensis) and bush hyraxes.
